The brief
A thousand people already vouched. Nobody could see it.
1,043 reviews at 4.9 stars is a decade of a neighbourhood voting, and none of it reached anyone searching from outside the lane. There was no website at all — just a Maps pin doing all the work.
Half the traffic decides at night, on a phone, on the way home. That single fact decided the whole design.
What we did
A hand-painted Bombay signboard, after dark.
Dark by decision, not by fashion: a lamplit oxblood ground with brass and vermilion, the exact opposite of the white-and-rose-gold page every competitor on the street would build. Numbers do the persuading; adjectives only do the warming.
- — Oxblood and brass drawn from the hand-painted lane signage.
- — The 4.9 and the 1,043 lead the page — proof before promise.
- — Honest-advice positioning: no upsell language anywhere.
